External Program Facilitators​​


Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) is expanding our pool of External Program Facilitators

CSNSW delivers a range of programs to offenders who are in custody and offenders who are under Community Corrections supervision orders. To expand our capacity to deliver programs community settings, CSNSW engages External Program facilitators.

There are 58 Community Corrections offices across New South Wales and CSNSW External Program facilitators are engaged to deliver programs across the state. Program delivery in remote and regional NSW is a priority and people from regional locations who have the requisite skills and knowledge are encouraged to apply. External Facilitators located in regional and remote locations who are requested to travel significant distances to deliver programs may be eligible for a modest financial travel incentive.

CSNSW Community Programs run during business hours, after hours and on weekends.

What we need:

External Facilitators must demonstrate:

  • that they can work independently and with a high level of integrity;
  • an understanding of, and experience in, the delivery of group based behaviour change programs;
  • experience working with complex and vulnerable groups; and
  • a high level of administrative and record keeping proficiency.

Experience working with offender groups will be highly regarded.

Note: CSNSW External Facilitators are engaged on an as-needs basis. CSNSW cannot guarantee a minimum number of program facilitation hours.

Assessment and Training Dates:

CSNSW provides training as follows for EQUIPS (Explore, Question, Understand, Investigate, Practice and Succeed):

  • EQUIPS Foundation
  • EQUIPS Domestic and Family Violence
  • EQUIPS Aggression
  • EQUIPS Addiction

NOTE:

The total number of the PIAWs and Training blocks in each of the regions will be dependent on the number of successful applicants and their residential locations. In certain circumstances PIAWs will be run via MS Teams.

Applicants will be required to complete a refresher training course within 12 months of successful completion of the EQUIPS Training.
